The death of J.I. Packer made me reflect on his influence on me as a young Christian. His introduction to John Owen’s “The Death of Death” was instrumental in shaping my theology in college and trying to piece together what I believed. I would highly recommend it. Also, D.L. Moody was was influenced by a young preacher, Mr. Moorhouse, and his exposition of John 3:16.
